Resources

Music is provided free of charge by the library. Members are able to purchase their own copies through the society if they wish. Members are encouraged to annotate their music during practice with a soft pencil. All annotations must be erased before returning music after a concert.

Concerts

The Society presents two concerts each year – one just before Christmas and the second in May. These concerts are held in the Wincanton Leisure Centre adjacent to King Arthur’s, usually at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening. Concerts have been cancelled until the COVID crisis is over.

Rehearsals

The Society’s season runs from September to May with a break at Christmas/New Year. In the current time of COVID, rehearsals are online only. In normal times, rehearsals are held every Monday evening in the Performance Enhancement Centre of King Arthur’s Community School, Wincanton from 7.15pm to 9pm including a 10 minute break; there is ample parking space available.
While members are strongly encouraged to attend as many rehearsals as possible, the only rule governing attendance is the requirement that members must attend the last three rehearsals prior to a concert if they wish to sing in that concert.
