Committee Vacancies – help needed to run WCS

Now more than ever we desperately need more committee members, and in particular the following Officers:
a) a Chair: (Ben is not up for re-election at the AGM)
b) a Secretary (Richard is not up for re-election at the AGM)

We are extremely fortunate that at the last Committee meeting, Louise Harris has generously stepped forward to help us and was formally co-opted as a committee member, to take on our very important Librarian role.

We are also looking for additional committee members to take on the following important roles on the Committee:-

c) a Data Protection Officer
d) a Publicity Officer

We are also seeking the following non-committee posts:
e) a Friends Secretary

If you think you may be able to spare some time to help us with our desperate need, even just as a helping hand, please come forward and have an informal chat with one of us on your committee.

AGM Re-scheduled for 7pm Monday 10th Jan 2022 at the PEC

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) originally scheduled for Monday 6th Dec  has now been RE-SCHEDULED for Monday 10th January 2022 to be held at the PEC, King Arthur's School, West Hill,  Wincanton BA9 9BX

Please do not park in the Main School Car Park, but rather in the car park behind the School, opposite Dancing Lane.

6.30pm Members may arrive from this time to register and collect music for the term.
7.00pm AGM commences
Rehearsal commences after the completion of the AGM.

Please note that in the interests of time, no reports will be read at the meetings.

COVID Restrictions
Please note that these meetings will take place in the time of COVID-19 with increasing rates of transmission within South Somerset, including
Wincanton. To that end, we ask that you do not attend the AGM or rehearsals, if you have not been triple-vaccinated and if you have not had
a negative LFT test in the twelve hours before the AGM /rehearsal.

Anti-COVID-19 arrangements for the AGM

Please wear a mask at all times when attending the AGM (even when seated).

1. We will ask you to provide evidence of Booster Vaccination at the start of term. If you are fully vaccinated including booster, please show your NHS
Covid Pass or vaccination card (or whatever proof you choose) once, and once only, at your first rehearsal

2. When you register (for Test and Trace purposes) you will be asked to confirm that you've done an LFT in the last twelve hours and the test
result was negative.

3. There are also two venue-specific measures:

a) You must enter and exit the PEC via the 2 outside doors and not via the main school entrance (internal door), so as to avoid school corridor use. Sopranos &
tenors enter via the entrance opposite Dancing Lane and altos & basses via the entrance opposite the car park.;

b) You will be allocated a specific numbered seat location for the AGM and directed there by a marshal in order to maintain safe social distance when sitting &
singing. This will be your nominated seat location for the rehearsal that follows (if attending).

The AGM scheduled for Monday (6th Dec) has been POSTPONED

It is with great regret that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Monday 6th Dec  has had to be postponed due to two key members of our committee being unavailable at very short notice.

We anticipate rearranging the AGM to immediately after the first rehearsal of the new year (scheduled for Jan 10th 2022) but the date will be confirmed in due course.

Please continue to check the website for details.
