Tickets are now available for Christmas Concert 2019

On Sunday 8th December, Wincanton Choral Society will perform its 2019 Christmas Concert, under the leadership of Katrine Reimers. Katrine has put together a programme of favourites as well as other pieces by well-known composers, all of which will infuse the audience with the spirit of Christmas.

The evening’s headline pieces will be Gloria by Vivaldi, one of sacred music’s most uplifting works and Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit de Noel, a delightful Christmas mass, which draws upon French carols, popular during Charpentier’s lifetime.

These pieces will be supported by works by Bach, Correlli, carols and the ever-popular Hallelujah by Handel. The choir will be assisted by an orchestra led by Edward Burns, soprano Stephanie Bodsworth and mezzo-soprano Olivia Ray.

Advance tickets (purchased before 2nd December) are £13.50 for adults and £6 for those aged eighteen or less. Tickets are now on sale at www.bradsons.co.uk/tickets, are available by calling on 01739 814899 and from Society members. They can also be purchased on the door for £15.

Please be advised that as the concert takes place in a sports hall, we request no stiletto heels please. You are welcome to bring a cushion for extra comfort.
